Going Bald

I wanted to shave my head for 7 years and I finally did it. What started as an intrusive thought during COVID became my obsession. I’ve often considered shaving my head in moments of distress and exclaimed that life would be easier bald.

This is what my hair used to look like

So I finally decided to do it! Since my hair doesn’t get very long, I figured that if I didn’t shave it I would have the same haircut for the rest of my life. I also figured that if I didn’t do it now, the only other time I could get away with it was after giving birth.

Fellow Wesleying writer, Sebulaunt, actually helped my do my hair after I shaved his.

Since I know you’re curious, I am keeping the hair I cut off in a box on my bookshelf. I’ve mailed a few locks of it to my sister, and my friends here have a few big wefts as well. If you’re looking for a sign to shave your head this is it! YOLO

And this is me now

PS I'm not gay (although I support the LGBTQ+ community)
