    Devote a lot of time to a person you know nothing about. Set your expectations sky-high so that you can only be disappointed.


  2. Take a trip to Pi


Tell yourself that the caffeine you spend 30+ minutes obtaining will fix your profound inability to lock in.


  1. Take a nap



Must be more than 35 minutes, this one includes a bonus of post-sleep grogginess during which doing work is near impossible—just grab a snack from WesShop instead! 


  1. Go ice skating at Freeman



Hurry before it closes until next fall!


  1. Walk to the top of Indian Hill Cemetery



Great activity to do with that situationship you’ve recently begun. The best time to do this is near sunset so you can see all of the billboards and car lights on the roads in the distance.


  1. Be in SciLi



I feel like this is synonymous with scrolling on Instagram reels.


  1. Read research that you know you won’t use in your paper



Maybe you’ll be able to work it in somehow?

Bonus for this one if the easier more fun work is due further in the future than the more serious stuff.

Make your inability to get anything done everyone else’s problem.

Stop in R. J. Julia, grab bubble tea, or pretend you’ll get work done over crepes at Perk.
